Draft Ipswich Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan for public consultation

A draft Ipswich Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan has been prepared with the aim of encouraging greater uptake of active travel. It sets out Ipswich Borough Council’s vision and priorities for walking, wheeling and cycling routes and improvements. The report seeks authority to consult the public on the draft Ipswich Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan report and a prioritised list of routes and improvements. When in place, the Ipswich Local Cycling and Walking infrastructure Plan will help to optimise opportunities to access funding and support implementation.

The routes and schemes included in the Ipswich Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan have been drawn from existing adopted documents which have already been through public consultation. Portfolio Holders for Planning and Museums, Environment and Transport and Parks and Climate Change have had input into the prioritisation process. The report seeks approval to consult the public on a draft Ipswich Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan.
