Ipswich Borough Council are proposing to carry out urgent repairs to the boundary wall of Myrtle road and Holywells Park.
Following a structural survey, it has been established that nearby trees are causing damage to the wall. These trees have now been removed but the wall requires rebuilding to make it safe.
An urgent quote has been obtained from RG Carters Ltd. for £16,972.20 to remove the wall, install a new foundation, rebuild the wall and the remove all safety shoring so that the footpath can be reopened.
The works will be funded from existing repair budgets and considered to be good value.
