Decision details

Ipswich Borough Council operates a shop at Crown Pools and Fore Street selling swimming clothing and accessories such as goggles, floats and other items. Due to the size of the shop and amount of sales it has been decided to contract to one single supplier.

Following a competitive procurement process the successful tenderer was identified as Head UK, who trade under the name Zoggs at a cost of £120,000 for a 4-year contract. The decision is to award the contract on an initial term of 3 years with a possible extension of up to 1 year.

Reason:

To provide the supply of swimwear and swim accessories to Ipswich Borough Council for the onwards sale to customers requiring these products.
