Purpose:

Ipswich Borough Council requires to let a contract for undertaking ground investigation works at Arras Square. The contract amounts to enabling works relating to the separately tendered Arras Redevelopment project. The anticipated duration of the Ground Investigation works will be for a maximum of 2 months on site.

 

Tenders were invited via the Council’s e tendering system and seven bids were received. Evaluation was based 100% on price. Ground Engineering Ltd were the most economically advantageous at a value of £11,576.00 (excl. VAT).

 

The contract will be funded for existing allocated budgets and represents good value for money.

 

The contract value is £11,576.00 (excl. VAT).

Decision:

To approve the appointment of Ground Engineering Ltd.

 

Reason:

To enable Ipswich Borough Council to continue with the design development relating to the separate Arras Square redevelopment project.
