Purpose:

The Council has a statutory duty to provide street name plates in a conspicuous position on all streets within its administrative area.

 

All Council procurements must be undertaken in the best interests of the Council, in accordance with the law and the Council’s Constitution.

 

As such, in November 2021 the Council ran a competitive tendering procurement exercise for the supply of street name plates open to all suitably qualified manufacturers of the same.

 

Three bids were submitted, a validation process was carried out by officers.

Decision:

To award a non-exclusive contract for the supply of street name plates to Rymack Sign Solutions Ltd T/A PFI GB Signs for a 5 year period.

The estimated value of this contract is £70,000.

 

Reason:

To provide street name plates.
