Decision Maker: Officer Decision

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Purpose:

Ipswich Borough Council are currently developing Eastern Gateway, a new enterprise park on the outskirts of Ipswich.

As the development is progressing well, with two occupiers now operational, the decision has been made to procure two new entrance signs identifying the site.

A procurement exercise has been undertaken via a mini competition using the compliant ESPO framework.

This process produced one compliant bidder whose proposal met the requirements for the signage set out by the Project Team, to design, manufacture and install two external totem static signs to identify Eastern Gateway.

DMA Signs Ltd have submitted a tender for the works for the design, manufacture and installation for each sign with a total cost of £45,343.88 (excluding VAT), which is considered good value for money and will be funded from existing budgets.

Decision:

Award the contract to DMA Signs Ltd to design, manufacture and install two entrance signs on Eastern Gateway.

Reason:

To provide identification signs for Eastern Gateway.
