Decision details

Ipswich Borough Council are current procuring Phase 2B infrastructure works at Eastern Gateway which will involve construction of roads, drainage, and utilities to service Development Areas 12, 13, 15, 9 and 10.

In preparation for the infrastructure work, IBC need to arrange new water connections for the occupier of DAs 12, 13 and 15.

Anglian Water has provided a quotation for the delivery of the works of £9,124.00 excluding VAT.

A decision has been made to exempt the appointment from market testing under Contract Standing Orders as only one provider can carry out all the works.

If the works had not been exempted from Contract Standing Orders the water connections could not be made to supply the development areas.

To waive contract standing orders, as there is only one potential provider and place the order with Anglian Water.

Reason:

To arrange the installation of the required water connections for the new occupier of development areas 12,13 and 15 at Eastern Gateway.
