Purpose:

A procurement exercise has been undertaken by officers from the Council’s Procurement team using the ITQ form of tender invitation to identify a preferred supplier for supply of trees for the TIC project.

Two bids were submitted, a validation process was carried out by officers from the Council’s parks team and the bid submitted by Palmstead Nursery was found to demonstrate value for money and quality.

The project is majority funded by the Forestry Commission who require us to monitor the trees for three years beyond this season’s winter planting, to be via the Tree Inspector and P&C staff.
