Majors Corner toilet block needs refurbishment, the interior is at the end of its serviceable life and there has been regular vandalism.
Using the NHS (SBS) framework arrangement (a PCR compliant framework), a direct award will be made covering multi-discipline design services that are now needed – including Employers Agent/Principle Designer/Architect, M&E Engineer, Structural Engineer and Quantity Surveyor.
The single quote, as submitted by Ingleton Wood under the direct award arrangement - forming part of the agreed NHS (SBS) framework agreement, is considered by officers to be competitive. The appointment will be funded from existing budgets.
The successful company under the terms of the direct award mechanism, forming part of the NHS (SBS) framework agreement was Ingleton Wood.
The contract value is £21,510 (excl. VAT).
To approve the appointment of Ingleton Wood to carry out the multi-discipline lead consultant services associated with this project.
Reason:
To enable Ipswich Borough Council to continue to maintain a safe and effective toilet facility at Majors Corner in Ipswich.
