Purpose:

At Executive committee on the 27th November 2018, approval was given for report: E/18/36 Procurement of Unified Communications Solution.

 

The decision made was:

“That the Chief Operating Officer, in consultation with the ICT Operations Manager and the Portfolio Holder for Resources, be authorised to enter into a contract with the chosen preferred supplier, as identified in exempt Appendix 2 to the report, for the purchase of a Unified Communications and cloud-hosted Office solution to replace existing telephony, contact centre and desktop Office systems.

 

Approval was given for a five-year contract term that was split into an initial three-year period followed by an optional two-year extension.

Decision:

That the contract continue for the second term as granted by the original approval and that this two-year period be used to investigate and seek approval to raise another contract to meet this continuing service need.

 

Reason:

That the initial three-year term is approaching the January 2022 conclusion.
