Decision details

During the period of the exhibition - The Moon: Meet Our Nearest Neighbour at the Ipswich Art Gallery there is a need to temporarily suspend access for visitors to the exhibition on 3 occasions. This is due to ticketed events being held in the space that are related to the exhibition.

Access will be limited to ticket holders for the events being held on:-

Sunday 15th August 2021 11.00am to 4.00pm.

Lunar Festival run in partnership with Orwell Astronomical Society.

Sunday 22nd August 1.00pm to 4.00pm

Eco-lunar rocket activities run by Dr Simon Jackson. Craft activities for families and children in the Art Gallery Learning Studio.

Sunday 5th September 2021 1.00pm to 4.00pm

Eco-lunar rocket activities run by Dr Simon Jackson. Craft activities for families and children in the Art Gallery Learning Studio.

In order to maintain Social Distancing and to limit the number of people in the main gallery space within the Ipswich Art Gallery access to the events above will be by ticket only. Tickets will be available for half hour time slots from the Ipswich Regent website.

All online information relating to the exhibition that is managed and/or published by IBC and CIMS will be updated to clearly reflect the exhibition will be closed to non-ticket holders on the dates and times above.

To temporarily suspend access for visitors to the exhibition on three occasions, Sunday 15^th August 2021, 10am-4pm, Sunday 22^nd August 2021, 1pm-4pm, Sunday 5^th September 2021, 1pm-4pm to allow for ticketed events.

Reason:
