Decision details

Ipswich Borough Council requires a medium wheelbase, high top, panel van that is equipped as a mobile workshop to be used when undertaking repairs and maintenance across the Council’s parks, opens spaces and play areas. The requirement is for a fully equipped van with racking, workbench, power supply etc to replace an existing van.

The decision made was to purchase this vehicle and associated equipment from Ford at a total cost of £34,696.59 after discount.

Reason:

Replace existing end of life panel van. The Crown Commercial Services Framework Agreement – RM6060 has been used to identify suitable vehicles. This framework allows a comparison of vehicle specifications, pricing and selection of the vehicle most appropriate. This framework then allows for further bespoke specification of the vehicle and associated equipment.
