Suffolk County Council have made £100,000 available to Ipswich Borough Council to commission a number of pieces of work under a Youth Employment Programme Ipswich.
A funding agreement is proposed that will enable the Borough Council to accept – and then spend this money – within the parameters of the agreement.
It is proposed that the Chief Executive signs the agreement on behalf of the Council. Separate decisions will be made by the Chief Executive related to the use of this funding.
This proposal has been discussed with the PH (i.e. the Leader of the Council) who supports it.
Consultation has also taken place – as required by the Constitution – with the Resources Portfolio Holder and the Section 151 Officer (Head of Finance and Revenues). Both support this proposal.
That the Chief Executive will complete the funding agreement using his delegated powers and in doing so ensure the Borough Council receives £100,000 of funding to be spent by Borough Council on a Youth Employment Programme.
Reason: To enable the Borough Council to run a Youth Employment Programme using funds provided by a third party (Suffolk County Council).
