Maintenance & Contracts has previously purchased and uses a small number of National Housing Federation (NHF) Schedule of Rates and Specifications for its Planned Maintenance Contracts. These allow the service to manage the contract.

As part of the new AIME (Adaptations, Improvements, Maintenance, Environmental) Contract a number of additional specifications are required to cover the diversity of activity contained within this contract.

The Service is purchasing the remaining NHF Schedule of Rates at a one-off cost of £27,510.00 exc. VAT, which allows AIME to be procured using the schedules and ultimately managed throughout the contract period. An annual maintenance fee in the sum of £5.680.00 is also payable for these Schedule of Rates.

The National Housing Federation schedules can only be supplied by one supplier so consequently this an exemption to the Council’s contract standing orders for a purchase from a sole supplier.
