To amend the Ipswich Borough Council Policy for the Covid-19 'Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open)' that was adopted under Portfolio Holder decision PH/20/04 to extend the application window for this scheme.

To amend paragraph 15 of the Ipswich Borough Council Policy for the Covid-19 ‘Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open)’ from:

“All applications must be received by 5pm on 29th January 2021. Any eligible applications that are received by 5pm on 11th January 2021 should have their first grant paid by 29th January 2021. Any eligible applications that are received between 11th and 29th January 2021 should have their first grant paid by 19th February 2021.”

To:

All applications must be received by 5pm on 22^nd February 2021. Any eligible applications that are received by 5pm on 11th January 2021 should have their first grant paid by 29th January 2021. Any eligible applications that are received between 11th and 29th January 2021 should have their first grant paid by 19th February 2021.  Any eligible applications that are received between 5pm on 29^th January and 5pm on 22^nd February should have their first grant paid by 19^th March 2021.

Note: all other elements of the Policy will remain the same as previously agreed/published.

Reason: To enable more eligible applicants to have the opportunity to apply.

Note: This decision is exempt from call-in in order to extend the application period for this time-limited scheme and so allow further eligible applicants to have the opportunity to apply.
