Ipswich Borough Council requires 7 x vans. The Council has resolved to procure electrically powered vehicles where possible to reduce the impact on the local environment from the operation of its fleet.
The decision made was to purchase these vehicles from Renault at a total cost of £121,352 after discounts and government grant.
Reason:
The Crown Commercial Services Framework Agreement – RM6060
has been used to identify suitable vehicles. This framework allows
a comparison of vehicle specifications, pricing and selection of
the vehicle most appropriate. The best value electric vehicle for
IBC use was identified as the Renault Kangoo.
