Crown car park is a multi-storey pay on foot short stay car park located in Ipswich’s town centre. The car park has a barrier system that controls the flow of vehicles in to and out of the car park, along with 3 payment terminals which allows customers to pay for their parking using coins, card or contactless payments upon their return to the car park at the end of their stay.

When the car park was constructed in 2018 the hardware and software to operate the car park was awarded to Metric under the ESPO Parking Management Solutions Framework 509.

Metric are a car park management provider hosting a cloud based operational system called Amano.

The current Metric maintenance contract for the hardware and software has expired and needs to be renewed.

A direct award has been reviewed by Parking Services and Procurement using ESPO Parking Management Framework 509 – new. The direct award contract covers 5 years with a break clause should service deliver not be which has been documented within the award. The total direct award value for 5 years is £61,750.00 (£12,350.00 per annum)
