Ipswich Borough Council is currently undertaking coronavirus recovery works across it’s built estate.

Part of the work is to install multiple hand sanitiser units across the estate. Following a brief supplier engagement where cost and quality considerations have been undertaken, it is proposed to purchase 250 units from Heat Outdoors Ltd. to provide Automatic hand sanitiser units.

Due to the need to take advantage of existing stock levels, a reduced unit rate of £76.50 and to enable safe working in the Councils buildings an exemption from contract standing order is required for 250 Units at a total price of £19,125.

To exempt this purchase from Contract standing orders due to the H & S implications and to place the order with Heat Outdoors Ltd.

Reason: To enable the rapid installation of hand sanitisers across the Council’s estate.
