The SRP service is looking to procure a service from a contractor called Policy-in-Practice for a data analysis report on the current range of benefit receiving clients across the partnership organisations. This work will help steer the future direction of the partnerships respective council tax reduction schemes in light of the recent changes brought about by universal credit and welfare reform.
Over the last year, Local Authorities have worked with PiP to model new CTR schemes. PiP have been able to not only advise on the modelling of those schemes but to demonstrate the level of impact of proposed changes including the financial impacts to help inform decision making. PiP are currently working with 90 LA’s. PiP are the only provider of such services across the UK and as such have quickly developed the expertise to support local authorities who are considering changes to their CTR schemes and looking to modernise their systems as welfare reform takes hold.
The cost of the service is £25k which covers the analysis for all 3 partner authorities (£9,395 for the IBC element).
Reason: The service cannot be procured from another supplier.
Alternative options considered and why rejected: No other options are available, the service cannot be procured from another supplier.
