Purpose:

Ipswich Borough Council purchased the Former Co-Op Department Store site, Carr Street to create a new school (by others) and develop a new short stay car park, to be accessed from Upper Barclay Street, to be named Upper Orwell Street (North) Car Park.

 

Under the planning approval, which has been secured for the new car park (IP/18/00042/FPI3), a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) from Suffolk County Council is required for the reduction of the disabled parking bays on Upper Barclay Street to allow the creation of the new access.

 

The fee for the TRO is £11,500 made payable to Suffolk County Council

Decision:

To proceed with the Traffic Regulation Order for the reduction of the disabled parking bays on Upper Barclay Street.

 

Reason: To progress the development of Upper Orwell Street (North) Car Park.
