Parks and Cemeteries require a supplier to provide a debris loader to assist with leaf collection in the cemeteries across Ipswich Borough Council.
The current provision we have for leaf collection is beyond repair and due to the vast canopy of trees within the Cemeteries, it is an essential piece of machinery. It can also be deployed to all parks and open spaces where leaf debris is present on footpaths and thus causing a H&S issue.
Pre-tender discussions were held with suppliers in the marketplace and the spec of the machinery required was advertised on a Procurement Framework where companies were invited to quote.
Ernest Doe & Sons were the only provider who could supply Ipswich Borough cemeteries with a machine that fitted the required specification.
