The council has received a request from Cobra Traffic Management to locate a cherry picker vehicle to assist with essential building maintenance at the vacant former Co-Op store at 46-48 Carr Street, Ipswich.
The cherry picker vehicle will occupy 3 bays itself, with an additional 6 bays suspended to enable smooth traffic flow through the car park. The work will take place on Tuesday 21st March 2023 and Wednesday 22nd March 2023. Cobra Traffic Management will pay for the lost income of the bays and the relevant suspension fee.
Cobra Traffic Management have stated that the works required to the vacant building are essential and access is limited. Whilst the site has been vacant, anti-social behaviour in the area has been common place. It will be beneficial to the area that the works take place to develop this site.
