Purpose:

The Council owns and operates a number of public car parks in Ipswich, including West End Road Car Park, IP1 9AS.

 

Due to some Parks and Open Spaces works taking place on Monday 9th January 2023 & Tuesday-10th January 2023, some section of the car park needs to be suspended for the works to be carried out in the Car Park.

 

The main alternative would be to not suspend these 66 spaces, but due to health & safety reasons for the users of the car parks, the Parks and Open Spaces work needs to be carried out.

Decision:

To utilise the powers within the Ipswich Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2022 to suspend 66 parking spaces at West End Road Car Park for a temporary period (expected to be Monday 9th January 2023 & Tuesday-10th January 2023) to allow for some spaces in the car park to be suspended when it’s required.
