Ipswich Borough Council requires to replace the current house lighting in the Grand Hall of the Corn Exchange with LED alternatives.
A previous Officer Decision for the award of the Lighting replacement scheme for the sum of £71,782 was approved on 6th April 2022.
Following an increase in the costs for international microchip supplies, the cost for the works as offered by the winning bidder DSA electrical needs to increase by £10,768 to £82,550.
This project will save an estimated £4,395 in electricity costs annually, reducing the energy consumption of the lighting by 88%.
The project will be funded partly through the Carbon Management Invest to Save budget and partly from the Repair and Maintenance Capital Contingency Budget.
To award the contract to DSA Electrical for the increased cost of £82,550.

To enable the works to proceed.
