The Waste & Cleansing Service has been awarded a Keep Britain Tidy Task Fund Grant. Part of that award is a commitment to purchase equipment compatible with the existing street cleaning machinery. This equipment is an Egholm 2250T Scrub deck attachment. Supplied by Euromec. Euromec are the sole UK supplier for additional attachments, with warranty, for the Nilfisk sweeper which the scrubdeck is being purchased for.

To exempt from Contract Standing Orders under paragraph3.10.2 “goods or materials available only as proprietary or patented articles from one Contractor or supplier, and for which there is no reasonable satisfactory alternative” to purchase an Egholm 2250T scrub deck from Euromec for £10,500, which will be funded by the Chewing Gum Task Force Grant Fund.

Reason:

To complete the detailed pavement works as outlined in the bid submitted to Keep Britain Tidy and the Task Fund Grant.
