Why it is being made listing reasons for the decision
Maintenance and Contracts required a contractor to carry out internal building and structural works to convert a cloakroom into a level access shower room at one of the Council’s sheltered developments. A competitive tendering process was held and an order with the most economically advantageous tenderer has been placed for the sum for £10,852.00
Alternative options considered and why rejected
The possibility of using the Ipswich Borough Council “in-house” direct labour organisation (DLO) to carry out the work was rejected as they do not currently have the capacity to carry out the work.
