Expansion of Civil Parking Enforcement Functions

This report is further to the Executive report of 10th January 2017 (ref: E/16/42) regarding the proposed expansion of civil parking enforcement (CPE) functions by the Council to part of the areas covered by Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils (BMSDC).  The report discusses the alternative proposals being made following further discussions with Suffolk County Council (SCC) and the other district councils of Suffolk, including allowing the Council to have control over on-street paid for parking spaces in Ipswich.  It seeks Executive approval to enter into new CPE agency agreements and SLAs with SCC and BMSDC on revised terms to those originally proposed.
