Ipswich Borough Council have recently been successful in securing an outline planning consent for over 1m sqft of commercial development on the old sugar beet factory off Sproughton Road. The consent contains 36 conditions, of which 11 are site-wide and must be discharged before any development and occupation can take place.
IBC officers will discharge a number of conditions using in-house resource, but it is considered appropriate to re-engage 4 consultants initially employed to secure the consent to discharge conditions which require external professional input. These include: MLM (engineers who have designed the infrastructure), BSG (ecology consultants to prepare and agree management polices), David Lock Associates (to negotiate and agree planning policies on bridge (x2) access and cycleway (x2) strategies) and ITP (to negotiate and agree a detailed travel plan for the overall park and regime for all future occupiers with the LPA and SCC).
Fees for 4 consultants total £46,483 as detailed on the attached sheet.
