A 12 month CCTV maintenance contract has been awarded to the existing supplier to enable Ipswich Borough Council the time needed to undertake a full review of the current system and a competitive procurement process.
The contract award has been made under section 3.2 as it is economically in the best interests of the Council.
Videcom has provided this service for the last 15 years but are nearing the end of the contract period allowed within their initial contract.
Current expenditure for provision of these services is circa £30k per annum.
