OD/16/35 Employment Land Needs Assessment - exemption from contract standing orders and appointment of contractor

The Council has previously appointed Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners (NLP) to conduct an employment land needs assessment on behalf of Ipswich, Babergh, Mid , Waveney and Suffolk Coastal Councils.

It has now been identified that a stage 2 study is required and the partners consider that it would be most expedient to use Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners again.

The requirement for competition within Contract Standing Orders has been waived following consultation with the Head of Resource management and the Head of Development on the basis that this is economically in the best interests of the Council.

The total value of the contract is expected to be in the region of £110,000 with costs shared between the partner councils.
