The existing IBC intranet was developed in-house during 2011 and is now out of date and no longer meeting the requirements of employees and the organisation, particularly in terms of good communications, collaboration and retaining knowledge.
Additionally, the current system does not enable employees working out in the field to access the intranet via mobile devices and stay in touch with the organisation.
The Council sought to purchase a new intranet solution that fulfils specific requirements and engage staff across the organisation. Following a competitive process it has been decided to award the contract for three years to Interact.
