The Ipswich Entrepreneur Programme is a course for entrepreneurs who want to launch and monetise their business ideas. It is aimed at developing business and social enterprise start-ups and improving the business survival rate in Ipswich. The courses enable students to develop key skills to enable them to successfully run and develop their own enterprise including; business planning, finance, building a website, marketing, sales and how to establish a brand.
Ipswich Entrepreneurs supports the IBC Economic Strategy and its Implementation Plan’s focus on jobs and skills in Ipswich.
There have been 2 previous cohorts supporting 33 entrepreneurs, resulting in successful business and social enterprise start-ups, growth of fledgling businesses and increased employment. Ipswich Borough Council contributed funding to both previous cohorts.
There is funding in the budget for this activity to be commissioned.
