Why it is being made listing reasons for the decision
The Maintenance and Contracts service area carried out an open procurement process using Suffolk e-sourcing for the refurbishment and adaptation of a Council property. The work allows existing Council tenants to remain in their home.
An order was placed to accept the most economically advantageous tender of £45,949.00; for the completion of the project by June 2015.
Alternative options considered and why rejected
Consideration was given to use the in-house trade workforce but this was rejected due to capacity reasons following on-going high demand for this service.
