Dynamic Solutions were successfully commissioned to complete an initial project to develop a target standard for sheltered schemes and a draft specification for surveying them that cost £7,000.

An exemption has been approved under section 3.2 of Contract Standing Orders to award a further contract to Dynamic Solutions for the evaluation of tender results, as it is “in the economic interest of the Council”.

The contract has a value of £9,790 to complete the next stages of procuring the sheltered surveys, developing options for improvements and evaluating the survey results for each sheltered scheme.

This is in the economic interest of the Council because Dynamic Solutions are already familiar with the local sheltered schemes, data and processes at Ipswich. As the survey procurement is imminent, the lead in time for another company to familiarise, get up to speed and develop would risk delay to this and other dependent elements of the Older Person Housing Review Project. The Council will oversee the work of Dynamic Solutions to ensure full compliance with IBC procedures and Procurement Regulations and ensure that the Council receives value for money.
