Environmental Protection require a contractor to carry out a source apportionment and transport intervention study as part of producing the new Air Quality Action plan, to meet the legal duty on the Council under the Environment Act 1995.
A competitive tender process was held and evaluated. The tender demonstrating a high level of technical experience, appropriate methodology, economic viability and project timeframes was accepted.
The contract is for a one off study to be undertaken during Spring 2018 utilising available budget within Environmental Protection for 2017/18, this is for the sum of £14,150 (Ex VAT).

The possibility of undertaking this work in-house was rejected as the team do not currently have the capacity or resources to carry out the work.
