Purpose:

Norfolk Vending and Catering Supplies (NVCS) have been running the vending contract in sport for 5 years.  It was extended by 4 months from 1 April 2016 until 31 July 2016, due to sport wishing to include a catering option for one-off events.  This required a second specification to be drawn up, resulting in a 4-month extension so that both specifications could be tendered at the same time.

 

Following a staff restructure resulting in a new post of Venues and Retail Manager, it was decided to extend the current vending contract to provide sufficient time for the new manager to review the corporate catering and vending arrangement and then go out to tender corporately rather than just for sport.

Decision:

The value of the contract was worth £26,848.18 (without VAT) from April 2015 – March 2016, and with the same amount of vending machines in place and the footfall remaining relatively static, a similar figure was expected for April 2016 to March 2017.
