Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Purpose:

Why it is being made listing reasons for the decision

An open procurement process using Suffolk e-sourcing for the cleaning of high level gutters (those over three storeys) to the Council’s housing stock was carried out. This contract involves using a wet vacuum system to clean detritus from rainwater gutters on blocks of flats in the town from ground level, thus avoiding the need to work at height.

This activity is carried out once annually in the autumn following leaf fall. The previous contract for this service expired on 20th April 2015.

An order was placed to accept the most economically advantageous tender in the sum of £26,790.00 per annum covering the contract period, which runs from 21st April 2015 to 31st March 2018. This amount is within the existing budget.
