Purpose:

Reason-

 

Maintenance and Contracts carried out an open procurement process using Suffolk e-sourcing for the supply of small plant and tools for the Maintenance & Contracts service area.

 

An order was placed to accept the most economically advantageous tender in the sum of £63,000 covering the entire contract period, which runs from November 1st 2014 to 1st February 2017.

 

Alternative Options –

The possibility of using an external tool hire company was considered but this was rejected due to cost and maintaining the service standards to customers and Council tenants. The use of an in-house hire facility is an integral part of the overall mobile working solution for housing repairs.
