Ipswich Borough Council is working with Gecko Theatre Company (a locally based Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation) to create a new build structure for them to use as their headquarters and rehearsal space.

Funding from Arts Council England has been secured for the project and Ipswich Borough Council now requires the services of a Multi-Discipline Consultant to provide design consultancy services for the project.

Following an open tender procurement process through the Suffolk Sourcing e-sourcing system, 2 bids were received.

The most economically advantageous tender was received from Ingleton Wood for the value of £121,525.00 (excl. VAT).

The appointment cost will be fully covered by existing capital budgets.

The contract has been placed and issued under contract number IBC16983.

To award the contract to Ingleton Wood.

Reason:

To enable works to proceed within given timescales.
