Purpose:

·         The current sports pavilion at Ransomes Sports Ground requires demolition to enable a new facility to be built.

·         The Council has followed its procurement processes and tendered for the demolition of the pavilion.

·         This process identifies CDC as providing the most economically advantageous tender which meets the Council’s needs.

·         The contract has been awarded to CDC. The contract value is £65,965 (excl VAT)

·         There are no Crime & Disorder, Equality, Social Value in Contracts, HR or immediate ICT implications involved in the award of the Main Contractor to demolish the existing building

·         Head of Community and Cultural Services, Sport and Leisure Operations Manager, Building and Design Services Operations Manager, Legal services and Procurement have been consulted regarding this contract.
