Maintenance and Contracts required a contractor to carry out substantial reinstatement works following a fire. The works to the second floor flat include roof repairs, new windows and doors and full internal fit out. A competitive e-tendering procurement process was carried out and an order subsequently placed with the most economically advantageous tenderer in the sum for £29,807.00


Alternative options considered and why rejected

The possibility of using the Ipswich Borough Council “in-house” direct labour organisation (DLO) to carry out the work was rejected as they do not currently have the capacity to carry out the work.
